Uncover the language of surface, texture, and layered history in this dynamic 3-day workshop focused on abstract painting with oil and cold wax medium.
Working with an array of tools—traditional and unconventional—you’ll explore the powerful process of building up and breaking down surfaces. Through layering, veiling, mark making, adding and subtracting passages, and great color mixes-you’ll learn how to create rich, expressive paintings that hold depth, complexity, and a sense of discovery.
To enhance your creative experience, a variety of extra materials will be provided for group exercises and experimentation.
Whether you're new to cold wax or looking to deepen your abstract practice, this workshop offers a supportive, exploratory environment to push your work in exciting new directions.
