There will be a Surf Lifeguard & Patrol Support Refresher on Sunday 3rd at 9am at the Beach Base just before the Club Open Day (from 10am-1pm).
It is a SLSNZ requirement that all patrol members are refreshed. Here is a friendly reminder of the refresher components:
- Theory test (to be completed online via the portal in your own time, ideally before the practical refresher)
- 200m run-swim-run OR 400m timed pool swim in under 9mins
- Tube rescue & recovery position demonstration
- CPR demonstration
*Those who are patrol support are only required to complete the online theory test and CPR demonstration component*
It would be really awesome to have as many guards as possible at the refresher and Club Open Day on the 3rd - let’s kick the season off well! If you cannot make it on the 3rd, we have set some alternative dates on the 10th of November at 9am and 1st of December at 12pm.
