Self-Defense Workshop at Peaceful PeacockSaturday April 18th, 2026 | 11pm-2:30pm | $35
Join pro MMA fighter of Breakaway Martial Arts and big friend of the flock, Lucas LaRue (he/him), for a trauma-supportive, all genders welcome, beginner-friendly self-defense workshop. For some of you this will be your second or third session but all levels welcome and no previous experience ever required. Learn verbal and physical boundary setting, how to stay safe in crowds/protests, de-escalation techniques, and tools to feel safer and more confident in your body and space.
This session is inclusive of all bodies, abilities, and genders, with no experience needed. It is active, you will likely sweat. You will be punching, kicking, and laughing. Ages 13+. Come solo or bring a friend or partner—this is a great way to build your safety skillset in a supportive, welcoming space during a completely wild year.
