About this Event
This session will be delivered by Kath Saner, Yada Training Lead.
Session overview:
This training is designed for people who are supporting vulnerable women who may be selling or exchanging sex. The women we support are often affected by various mental health issues, so we have a trauma informed approach to all our work, and include a short section in our training around this topic. We aim to raise awareness, support staff and help combat issues associated with stigma. We also welcome anyone with an interest in this area.

- Overview of our outreach service - The Esther Project (TEP).
- The reasons why people might sell or exchange sex.
- The spectrum of choice.

- Frameworks through which the sex industry can be viewed.

- Communication considerations - equipping staff and new approaches.
