Supporting Our Helpers: A Mindfulness and Listening Event
About this Event
In-Person Event 2 PM Sunday Sept. 13
Zoom Event 7 PM Wednesday Sept. 16
Recent immigration enforcement actions have caused great suffering for our immigrant neighbors and distress for those who work to support them.
In response, local mindfulness teachers and counselors have come together to offer small-group listening sessions and techniques that will help immigrant supporters address anxiety and distress.
These 90-minute sessions are aimed primarily for those who offer support to immigrant populations, but others are welcome, also.
Participants will learn a basic mindfulness technique and strategies for working with anxiety in the moment.
Coffee, tea and snacks will be available.
TIckets are by donation. As little as $1 will reserve your place in the class.
IF you lack resoirces, or have trouble registering, please write the organizer at [email protected] and you will be registered at no cost.
