This FREE course will give you the opportunity to explore fun and creative ways to engage and inspire children to learn maths. On this course you will be introduced to problem solving and number work methods used in primary schools to teach maths and ways to practice at home. These sessions will allow you to practise these techniques in an informal and friendly environment with an experienced primary school teacher.During the course you will be:
**experience engaging maths based games and creating a game involving measuring and nets etc
**using problem solving skills to look at logic, picture and reasoning skills.
**finding a way to break problems up into step by step chunks.
**looking at how to support children at home and answer maths questions
**look at how to use math resources to support child’s learning – Number lines, squares etc.
All materials and equipment will be provided on this course.
