We need your help! Every dollar counts! $10= 4 weekend meals for a child facing food insecurity
$25 = 15 lbs of fresh produce, milk & eggs for a family in need
$50 = 1 month of weekend meals for a child facing food insecurity
$100 = 15 lbs of fresh produce, milk & eggs for 5 families in need
We have ambitious goals for this year's CT Foodshare’s “Walk Against Hunger”: to raise $50,000 for our MANNA food programs.
We need the help of our amazing volunteers, faith groups, civic organizations, corporate & community partners, staff and friends.
A full 100% of the funds we raise through our "Hands On Hartford Friends & Family Team", or on your own team that are specifically designated to Hands On Hartford as the "benefiting agency", will go directly to support Hands On Hartford's vital hunger relief programs to benefit our Hartford neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
In order to meet our $50,000 goal, we are counting on ALL OF YOU because the need this year is even greater! We are now providing groceries to (most recently) over 1,000 households each month in our community pantry and backpacks full of healthy, kid-friendly meals to 225+ children every weekend throughout the school year through our Kids' Backpack Nutrition program.

You can help by:
1. Walking with us and/or raising funds for us!
Register as an individual walker and help us raise funds for our Hands On Hartford Friends & Family Team. No amount raised/donated is too small! (ps. You do not actually have to "walk", but can sign up as a "walker" and raise funds for HOH under your name). Go here and click "join team": donate.ctfoodshare.org/hoh
2. Recruiting others to walk with you!
Ask coworkers, neighbors, friends, family, volunteer or professional groups, and/or your faith/other community to join you and sign up with our Hands On Hartford Friends & Family Team! It’s always more fun when you grab a group to walk together (but don’t worry if you’re walking alone-you’re always welcome to meet up with all our staff and volunteers)!
3. Sponsoring a walker!
Can’t make it to the walk? Sponsor one or multiple walkers by selecting the walker(s) of your choice to donate to on our Hands On Hartford Friends & Family page.
4. Be a Sponsor for Hands On Hartford!

************************ DAY OF THE WALK INFO ************************
We'd love to see you on the day of the Walk - Saturday, May 4, stepping off at 10:00 am. We'll be at our table at Dunkin' Park (where the Yard Goats play) starting at 8:00am. This year's Walk will once again be hosted by media personalities Scot Haney and Renee DiNino!

• A huge impact on hunger and food insecurity in our community.
• An opportunity to reach out a helping hand.
• The power of many people working together toward one goal.
• And baby goats!!
Your support will help provide groceries for families struggling to get by and meals for folks who turn to us for help - many of who are housing insecure or just don't have quite enough income to make it through the week. And for the kids in our Backpack Nutrition Program, this support means they will have breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks all weekend long.
