This SuperDebate event is a three hour immersive debate experience for adults who want sharper thinking, stronger communication skills, and the excitement of live intellectual competition. Attendees will participate in up to six structured debate rounds. Each round lasts long enough for clear arguments, rebuttals, and audience scoring. Participants may debate as individuals or as members of a two person team. Spectators are welcome and play an important role by judging and scoring each round using a clear and fair rubric.
Before each debate, attendees will submit potential debate topics. Everyone then votes to decide which topics will be used. Topics may range across philosophy, politics, ethics, science, culture, and current events. The featured highlight topic for this event is the following:
“Modern democracy has become more theatrical than representative, shaping public belief more than it reflects it.”
Debaters rotate opponents during the night so they encounter a variety of perspectives and styles. No debate experience is required. Beginners learn quickly from the structure and community support. Experienced debaters get the challenge they crave. The event closes with a short feedback session where participants reflect on strong arguments, surprising moments, and key insights.
