About this Event

Super Mario's Kids' Summer Jiu-JitWelcome Families

Thank you for your interest in our Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Summer Camp. We are excited to offer a structured, engaging, and safe environment where your child can learn, grow, and build confidence through the art of Jiu-Jitsu. We love Jiu-Jitsu and can't wait to share it with your families.

This program is designed for children ages 5-12 and focuses on much more than just physical activity. Throughout the week, students will develop:

  • Confidence and self-control
  • Focus and discipline
  • Coordination and athleticism
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Practical self-defense awareness in a safe, controlled setting

Our approach to teaching Jiu-Jitsu is rooted in a system that emphasizes control, decision-making, and safety over strength or aggression. Students will learn how to move their bodies effectively, understand positions, and solve problems step-by-step. All while working cooperatively with partners.

What Makes This Camp Different

This is not a typical “activity camp.” Each day is carefully structured to include:

  • Movement and physical development.
  • Technical Jiu-Jitsu instruction. Even the most experienced children will get individual attention and come home with a better understanding of how to be an effective Jiu-Jitsu practitioner.
  • Age-appropriate life lessons pertaining to empathy, communication, and self-awareness.
  • Team-building and social development.
  • A consistent daily routine that promotes focus and stability.

Students will be introduced to a simplified system of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, focusing on mastering the fundamentals and teaching them how to:

  • Stay safe in difficult situations.
  • Improve their position step-by-step.
  • Work through challenges without frustration.
  • Support and learn from their teammates.

By the end of the week, students will be able to demonstrate what they’ve learned through a guided end-of-camp presentation, showcasing their skills, confidence, and teamwork.

Our Commitment to Safety & Structure

Your child's safety is our top priority.

  • All instruction is closely supervised and age-appropriate.
  • Training emphasizes control and cooperation, not competition.
  • Clear expectations for behavior, respect, and safety are reinforced daily.
  • The environment is structured to support both learning and positive social interaction.

About the Instructor

The camp is led by Coach William Moore, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and Co-Founder of the Austin Police Jiu-Jitsu (APJJ) program.

Coach Will brings years of experience working with both youth and adults, including:

  • Teaching children's Jiu-Jitsu classes since 2017.
  • Coaching youth athletics and competitive programs.
  • Developing structured training systems focused on safety, learning, and personal growth.
  • A professional background in law enforcement training, emphasizing control, responsibility, and decision-making.

He is also registered with the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) and has completed required background checks and SafeSport certification. Additionally, Coach Will has taught over 180 Jiu-Jitsu classes for police with zero reported injuries since December of 2025.

Final Thoughts

Our goal is simple: to provide a program where your child feels safe, challenged, supported, and proud of what they accomplish while having a great time!

We take seriously the trust you place in us when you allow your child to participate, and we are committed to delivering a professional, meaningful, and enjoyable experience.

If you have any questions at any time, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We look forward to working with your child this summer.su Camp July 2026
