Longwave Yoga brings you a full-spectrum SUP Yoga Workshop and SUP Yoga Teacher Training - geared towards offering yoga teachers the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively lead a yoga class on the water.
This 22-hour CEU course covers use of SUP equipment, SUP basics and technique, water safety and rescue, how to monitor weather patterns and chart tides, and how to appropriately adapt and sequence yoga on a paddle board for everyone from beginner yogis to expert SUP athletes. Training includes but is not limited to SUP Yoga practices, lectures, group teaching, and partner teaching. There will not be official break times, but there will be plenty of opportunities to eat lunch / snacks and to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
*Prerequisites: This training is open to all adventurous yogis with the ability to swim. However, you must be a 200-Hour RYT and CPR certified to receive certification once course is complete*
Applicants are not required to have any training and/or experience in Yoga or SUP, as Longwave Yoga will honor certification up to one year after training ends to certify students who do not currently hold at least a 200-Hour RYT and current CPR certification.
