Sunshine Tip is a four-piece cooking up melodic, bittersweet alternative country originals about life’s edges, troubles and simple joys. Throwing together voices, acoustic guitar, cello, mandolin and drums, Dave Bowers, Alice Garner, Dee Hannan and Al Barden create a unique and powerful musical brew. Bowers’ lyrics explore the shifting zone where country meets city, from smashing empties on outer suburban train tracks, to hanging washing on the line and remembering past dance floor heroics.
Special guests are Salvation Jane, a Naarm based duo rooted in folk music combining harmony and wistful songwriting.
Could be our last gig for a while… we’ve gotta focus on finishing the album!
