Enjoy moving to the music with friends in the fresh air with an ocean view as we watch the sun set over beautiful Bellingham Bay!
For this buoyantly beautiful silent disco, we’ll dance to a deliciously diverse 1-hour playlist sent via radio transmitter to your choice of headphones (pop ‘em on and you’re good to go) or a belt clip (plug in your own headphones/earbuds and clip somewhere onto your clothes).
And if you feel kinda funny about prancing in public places, YOU’RE NOT ALONE. Just remember, nobody actually cares what you look like! And if they do, that’s most definitely THEIR PROBLEM. I invite you to embrace the experience of outdoor dancing as a way to practice:
-->joyful togetherness — enjoying a shared experience of musical movement
-->brave authenticity — moving to the music in whatever way is best for you
-->radical non-judgement — noticing and letting go of self-judgement, your judgement of others, and any perceived/imagined judgements about you from others
-->personal responsibility — no matter who’s there, what’s happening, or what song is playing, it’s up to you to make your own good time
And another thing to remember — your unique, beautiful body is ALREADY ALWAYS DANCING, without you having to do anything! Your breath, your heartbeat, the electrical impulses traveling through your nervous system creating sensations, thoughts, feelings and movement, the food moving through your digestive system and turning into energy, all the simultaneous activity of the trillions of cells that make up this amazing human body you get to inhabit… all of it! It’s all such a wonderous dance! The dance of life. So please feel free to simply show up, share in some songs and a sunset, and bask and relax in that feeling that you’re already dancing just by being alive. Nothing “to prove” and nothing “to do” — just be.

*Dock entrance and public restrooms are at the corner of 10th St and Taylor Ave
*Parking is available along 10th St and in the surrounding neighborhood
*Wear comfortable clothes and footwear, dress for the weather
