Sunset Photo Meetup: Phone Photography • Posing • Golden Hour Portraits

Golden hour is one of the most beautiful times to take photos—and it's even better when you're surrounded by people.

Join us for a relaxed evening at Lake Eola where we'll explore the park together, practice taking better photos with our phones, and help each other create content that feels natural and authentic.

We'll meet at the Lake Eola Pagoda (it’s red and black) before sunset. Along the way, I'll share simple tips on posing, composition, lighting, and camera settings to help you capture photos you love.

You'll learn:

• Easy, natural poses (including what to do with your hands!)
• How to photograph yourself and others with confidence
• Simple composition techniques that instantly improve your photos
• How to make the most of golden hour and blue hour lighting
• Tips for capturing better portraits, group photos, and everyday moments

Whether you're updating your Instagram, LinkedIn, dating profile, or just want photos that actually look like you, this meetup is for you.

Wear an outfit you feel great in, bring your phone, and if you have a phone tripod, bring that too! We'll practice using them, but don't worry if you don't have one…you'll still be able to participate and leave with great photos.

Feel free to come with a friend or come solo. This is a welcoming space to meet other creators, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants to become more confident behind (and in front of) the camera.

We'll stick around after sunset to experience blue hour, when the sky transforms into beautiful shades of pink and blue and the city lights begin to glow—it's one of the best times for photos.
