All are invited to come together with the Metropolitan Urban Indian Directors and community for a Sunrise Ceremony on Indigenous Peoples Day.
This Sunrise Ceremony is a tradition that began in 2014 when the Minneapolis City Council officially voted to recognize Indigenous Peoples Day.
The ceremony lasts 30-40 minutes.
Warm refreshments will be available.
Ceremony led by the LaPointe family.
Gather at 7:00 am
Ceremony at 7:15 am
Sunrise at 7:27 am
This gathering will occur on the shores of Bde Maka Ska at Thomas Beach, 3740 W Bde Maka Ska Boulevard.
