Sunnyside Connects: Summer Events for Kids, Teens, and Families
About this Event
All participants must complete a One-Time Enrollment Form. Once enrollment form is complete, you can RSVP on Eventbrite for each session you plan on attending.
Sunnyside Connects is a 5-week community event series that brings children, teens, and families together through hands-on activities, practical life skills, and fellowship. Held on select Thursday's from June 18th through the end of July, participants ages 0-18 will explore topics such as gardening, basic first aid, and art while building relationships, confidence, and a sense of belonging in a welcoming, Christ-centered environment.

June 18 Gardening

Info: Ages 8-18 will learn a variety of gardening skills such as starting a garden from seedlings, composting, and propagation. Younger ages will participate in hands-on activities.
June 25 Bike Maint
🕑: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
June 25 Bike Maintenance & Care Workshop
Info: Ages 8-18 learn how to care for and perform basic bike maintenance. Younger ages will learn about bike safety and enjoy learning how to wash their bikes at the wash station. All ages are encouraged to bring their bikes to this event.
July 2 Cooking

July 2 Cooking & Food Presentation
Info: Ages 8–18 will cook, create, and learn how to turn everyday meals into eye-catching dishes. Younger ages will participate in hands-on activities.
July 23 Art

Info: Ages 8–18 will explore creative ways to express their thoughts and emotions through art. Younger ages will participate in hands-on activities.
July 30 Field Trip

July 30 Field Trip to Makers Studio
Info: *REGISTRATION WILL BE OPENING SOON*. Meet us at the AIMS Center for Math and Science Education for an amazing experience. Learning here is centered around making tangible, personally meaningful projects that can be shared with others. The Maker Studio makes creative processes visible and encourages experimentation, revision, and collaboration. Please note that this is a paid event of $15 per participant. More details to come.
