Sunnie Runners x parkrun- 5km Lace Up Club

WE'RE BACK FOR 2026! Welcome to our bi-weekly Saturday AM club to get you movin' and groovin' at the start of your weekend. ANYONE and EVERYONE is welcome to lace up with us, no matter how experienced or speedy. We'll be switching up our distance/route each time, so stay in the loop at @sunnierunners on IG.

THE PLAN for SATURDAY 3 JANUARY

MEET: 8.45am at Battersea Park Run start. We'll meet at the finish location, on the gravel area at the intersection of Carriage Drive West and Central Avenue (w3w: ///sports.store.expert). The start is on Central Avenue to the west of the bandstand.

APRÉS: Join us for a coffee and catch up @ Pear Tree Cafe

WHY ARE WE DOING PARKRUN?

Parkrun is a free event for all participants. You can find more details here. Don't forget to sign up for your free parkrun account to get your run time at the end.

With a new year, we thought we'd shake things up a bit and take on the course as a team. We'll meet for a pre sunnies debrief and warm up before joining the other runners for a friendly 5km. Whether you're aiming for a new PB, setting yourself a goalpost for the year or simply keen to take it slow, we'll be there to run alongside you and cheer you on from the sidelines.

Parkrun is an epic way to introduce you to a race set up without the nerves of race day. We'll grab a coffee after at the Pear Tree Cafe and soak up some morning sunshine before kicking on with the weekend.

I DON'T HAVE A TICKET, CAN I LACE UP WITH YOU?

Technically, as we're simply rocking up as a team to parkrun, you can. But please do scribble your name down so we know what sunnies we have and who to cheer for!
