After a stint in the Navy driving nuclear submarines, he settled in New Orleans, where his adventures included working as a chemical engineer and performing in various folk and rock ensembles.Along the way, he earned his private pilot license.He plays an old French cello that, for who-knows-how-long, lived in a barn south of Parisshaping Sunflurrysand analog foot drumshand-built by Pete Farmer, a little mysterious, and very much alive.
