Thousands of blooming sunflowers will be showcased at TWRA’s Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area (FRWMA) during the sixth bi-annual Knoxville Sunflower Celebration.Enjoying the festival is easy and FREE!
Take a free shuttle from Maynard Glenn Ballfields, 2100 McClung Ave. Shuttles will run continuously from 9 am–1 pm.
Join a guided tour of the sunflower fields every half hour from 9am-12pm leaving from the shuttle drop-off spot.
Walk the two miles from Ijams Nature Center or 1.5 miles from Ijams Quarries. Parking at both locations is limited and there is a $5 parking fee.
Hop on a free loaner bike from Kickstand Community Bike Shop and tour from the Will Skelton Greenway. Bikes will be set up in the parking lot inside FRWMA.
Food trucks will be located at the Ijams Quarries and sunflower festival gifts will be available in the Ijams Nature Center Gift Shop.
