Join Nature Conservation Margaret River Region for our next Environmental Sundowner, showcasing conservation innovation and success stories to give us hope for the future.You'll hear from three expert speakers - Dr Sophia Callander (Australian Wildlife Conservancy), Clare Forward (Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions) and Hannah Gulliver (ReWild Perth program manager) - followed by an audience Q&A, a free drink and canapes.
After two sobering but informative sundowners focused on the Big Dry late last year, we're kicking off 2025 with a deep dive into all the great work happening in fauna conservation.
We hear from Dr Sophia Callander about innovative technology including AI and Drone tech used across the Australian Wildlife Conservancy's projects.
Clare Forward is the Conservation Coordinator at the WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. She will be giving us an update on the current numbers, management and feral animal control measures underway to protect our native animals.
Our third speaker Hannah Gulliver will talk through the success of the ReWild Perth program she manages, and how the lessons can be applied in the Margaret River region.
We hope you can join us for these presentations as well as a welcome update on the new Margaret River Community Nursery (after all, our native fauna needs us all focused on native vegetation)!
