Join us for a special Sunday at 10 AM with Dr. Michael Caparrelli. Invite your family and friends to this worship experience. It will be one you will not want to miss!
Dr. Michael Caparrelli was born and bred in Providence, Rhode Island, a troubled kid who squandered his adolescence in institutions. When he was 18 years old, his life was transformed by the power of Jesus Christ, and he was fathered by Pastor Pat Manzo, the current Superintendent of New England and New Jersey Teen Challenge.
In 2004, he graduated from Zion Bible College and was appointed the Ministries Pastor under Pastor Manzo's leadership as well as Pastor Tony Palow at NPAG. Under Pastor Palow’s oversight, he along with 25 committed saints planted a church in East Greenwich known as Sacred Exchange Fellowship; a church he pastored for 10 years and grew from 25 to 300. His vision was to be a hospital for the spiritually sick and transform ashes into beauty.
In 2020, he finished his PhD in Behavioral Science with an emphasis upon Addiction Psychology. His doctoral dissertation is entitled, 'The Impact of Involvement With the Evangelical Church upon the Recovery Journey of People with Chemical Addictions". That year, he resigned from pastoring to travel with a ministry known as UnMuted; a ministry that gives victims of oppression their voices back.
Currently, he’s keynote speaker in churches, schools & other venues across the U.S. on subjects such as depression, addiction, grief, early childhood trauma, etc. In June 2021, he opened for John Maxwell at the National Teen Challenge Convention in Orlando and conducted a workshop alongside Dr. John Townsend.
His non-profit organization, UNMUTED, is geared towards giving those who were victimized by traumatic experiences their voices back. He has released three books that help the broken overcome. First, Pain Your Pain Into Parables, a book on recovering from trauma that has been purchased by 20 Teen Challenge Centers across the nation as well as implemented into the rehab curriculum of inmates at the ACI in Cranston in 2021. Second, ‘The Ox and the Ass”, on breaking free from soul ties with toxic people. Third, a devotional for folks with mental illness known as, “Dr. Jesus”.
Currently, he is an adjunct professor at Northpoint Bible College and Manchester Community College, teaching a myriad of psychology courses. Most notably, he is the husband of Alicia and father of 4 exceptional children from ages 14 – 27 years old - Ashley, Mikie, Hannah and Olivia.
