Sunday 'Why Is There A Banana?' Comedy Open Mic

On 12th May at 5pm Jesters Comedy presents the Sunday afternoon edition of the ‘Why Is There A Banana?’ Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic at Beneroti in Finnieston the only comedy show with a name that can be traced back to a forgetful monkey. Featuring a mix of seasoned pros trying out new material first timers taking to the stage and everyone in between entry is free of charge and all are welcome to watch or perform.

Your host for the afternoon is award-losing comedian Charlie Wallace. Starting his career on the English language Asia comedy circuit he has performed extensively in China and Vietnam as well as Thailand Hong Kong Taiwan and once in Eqypt. Over his six year stand-up career he’s opened shows featuring Ardal O’Hanlon Glenn Wool Phil Kay Martin Mor and Greg Fleet to name but a few. Now based in Glasgow he runs Comedy Dundee Dundee’s most imaginatively named comedy club as well as working with Jesters and Craicfriars Comedy.
