Sunday Supper with Slow Food Charlotte
About this Event
Sunday Supper with Slow Food Charlotte
Our First Official Community Gathering
Be part of the beginning.
Join us for Sunday Supper with Slow Food Charlotte, our first official event as a newly organized chapter and a celebration of the farmers, chefs, producers, and food lovers who are helping build a stronger local food community.
This Friends & Family-style gathering is designed to bring people together around a shared table and a shared belief: that food tastes better when we know where it comes from, who grows it, and how it reaches our plate. Slow Food is a global movement dedicated to food that is good, clean, and fair for all, connecting people to local food traditions, sustainable agriculture, and the communities that make them possible.
For this special evening, the chef members of the Slow Food Charlotte Board of Directors will prepare a family-style feast featuring ingredients sourced from local farms and producers. The meal will celebrate North Carolina's seasonal abundance while highlighting the essential partnership between farmers and chefs.
We're also honored to welcome Kris Reid, Executive Director of Slow Food USA, who will share the vision of the national organization and discuss how local chapters like Charlotte are helping create a more connected, resilient, and equitable food system.

Why Attend?
Whether you're passionate about local farms, responsible sourcing, food education, biodiversity, sustainability, or simply sharing a great meal with good people, this event is an opportunity to connect with others who care about the future of food in our region.
As we officially launch Slow Food Charlotte, we're inviting our community to help shape what comes next. Come learn who we are, what we stand for, and how you can become part of a movement that celebrates local food, supports local producers, and strengthens our connection to the land and each other.
---- Pull up a chair. Share a meal. Help us grow. -----
PLEASE NOTE: This event is non-refundable. If you can't make it to supper, we'll certainly miss you at the table, but we'll gratefully put your ticket purchase to work supporting the newly launched Slow Food Charlotte chapter. Consider it an investment in good, clean, and fair food for our community.
