This Sunday we are joining forces with the UUA for a “Climate Justice Revival.” Throughout religious history, revivals have marked periods of resurgence in people’s commitment to their faith traditions. Classic American tent revivals took people out of the four walls of the church and into the world. They brought the community together and served as a galvanizing force for the future, often during times of great change or anxiety.
In the midst of overlapping climate crises and mounting social injustice, we are in a time of great change and profound anxiety. Taking a note from those who have gone before us, the UUA Climate Justice Revival is meant to be a time to come together and re-commit. Though we may not be gathering in a tent or under the stars, we invite you to bring the revival spirit to our worship together.
UUG will joins three other UU congregations for another edition of our hybrid Fifth Sunday Fellowship. This is an experimental worship collaborative made up of five women in leadership roles, and four congregations (one near Pittsburgh, one in Southern Maryland, one in Michigan, and our own UUG.) Out of our collaboration, we formed a covenant to bring our best to creating collaborative worship to the four Fifth Sundays of 2024.

Our Sunday service is dual platform. We meet physically in the sanctuary as well as on Zoom. There are masks available for use near the greeter’s stand if you wish to use one. Please email uugettysburg at gmail dot com to receive the Zoom link for our virtual service or ask any questions.
Children are very welcome in all our spaces, as their wriggly wonderful selves. On Sundays we share a Time For All Ages, then sing the children out for their special time. Children are welcome to journey with the other kids or stay with parents. We would rather hear them and sit with you, than miss time with you!
This is a LGBTQ welcoming congregation. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️
