SUNDAY SCENE: RIVER SPELL TRIO

River Spell is a Colorado-based jam band that delivers heartfelt songwriting and extended improvisation. Their timeless, yet innovative sound encompasses elements of folk, rock, funk, psychedelic and bluegrass music.

River Spell formed in the front range of Colorado in the summer of 2022. Since then, the band has been gigging tirelessly and spreading their infectious sound throughout the country. River Spell shows are truly unique and immersive experiences; no show is like the last.

Since their recent formation, River Spell has played alongside bands such as Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Railroad Earth, The Motet, Lindsay Lou, The Lil Smokies, Tea Leaf Green, Mike Dillon, Ghost Light, Duane Betts, Holly Bowling, Jason Hann (of The String Cheese Incident), Toubab Krewe, Sicard Hollow, and many more. River Spell released their debut album in February of 2024. Their debut single, “Bottom of the Hill”, was added to Spotify’s “Modern Jam Band” playlist and has received over 30,000 plays.
