About this Event

Banana loaf… social distancing… designer face masks! Remember how bonkers those first few weeks of lockdown were? Well, if it’s not too triggering, come and join me, authors Daren Kay, Alf Le Flohic and Latest TV’s Andrew Kay at my Open House on Sunday 26th for my final literary salon of the Festival.

With readings from Daren’s new novel, The Brightonians Under Siege, a dark satire about life on Brighton during the recent pandemic, and from Alf’s new non-fiction book, The Magic Farm and Other Queer Tales, about the lively gay scene that existed on the South Coast in the 70s and 80s, that inspired some of the flashbacks in Daren’s novel, we’ll also talking about how I worked with Daren to create the jacket designs for both his novels.

What is more, everyone who turns up on the day will be entered into a prize draw to win a signed limited-edition print of the book cover afterwork of the mysterious fortune-teller whose gloomy premonition seems to predict the National Lockdown in early 2020.

The event is free, but to give us an idea of how many chairs to put out, please reserve your ticket via Eventbrite (LINK).

Too soon to revisit lockdown? Not on your nelly, come along to my Open House on Sunday 26th and let the party begin. No need to bring your face mask!
