On Sunday, Sept. 19 at Sunday Funday, Armondo Ruiz will be on campus with his "Heavenly" street food! Armando, his wife and 3 kids have worked and lived in Truckee since 2010.
Armando, a full-time handyman while working to obtain his general contractors license, severely injured his back in December of 2020. After surgery and a lengthy hospital stay, Armondo still doesn't have full use of his legs, is in pain & uses a walker. Physicians are trying to determine the full scope of his injury.
In an effort to provide for his family, Armando started his Street Food booth as a means to save his home and pay bills until he can physically and medically return to work.
You can help by coming prepared to enjoy Armando’s food at his booth September 19, 2021 for the last Sunday Funday of the year! $10/adult, $7/kid. Cash preferred. Gratuity appreciated.
