Sunday DEEP is the latest expansion to the Rört schedule and features a senior teacher guiding a 120 minute deep dive into a corner of their field. Taking place on Sundays - the vibe will be chilled and there will be no grand learning ambitions. Much more the focus is on the experience, the journey and the deep dive itself. With Birgitte Gorm:
A soft, slow-flowing practice to support your nervous system and release unnecessary stress. We will explore the practice of myofascial unwinding, working with the nervous system via gentle waves, open flows, self-touch and sounding breath. Flowing between organic movement journeys and pauses in restful stillness, the practice invites a rhythm of regulation stabilizing the nervous system and connecting you to your body´s internal resources. A nourishing practice of honoring your body by deeply listening and responding to its gentle messages. The class will be based on Yoga Somatics – a tantrically informed and subtle yoga method which is rarely presented in Denmark.
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Birgitte Gorm is a psychologist (PhD) bringing more than three decades of practice into her classes and trainings. She has been a front-runner for sensory, non-linear, and meditative movement in yoga since she started teaching in 2001 and have trained, inspired and mentored hundreds of Danish yoga teachers in the past two decades. Her spiritual practices is firmly rooted in Zen Buddhist meditation. Her movement practice is resource-based rather than performance-based, working gently with the nervous system with inspiration from Yoga Somatics, Gentle Vinyasa Flow, Somatic Experiencing and SOMA embodiment.
