Sunday DEEP is the latest expansion to the Rört schedule and features a senior teacher guiding a 120 minute deep dive into a corner of their field. Taking place on Sundays - the vibe will be chilled and there will be no grand learning ambitions. Much more the focus is on the experience, the journey and the deep dive itself. Biooty & The Beast - With Amalie Overbye
Once again, we gather for some untamed booty dancing. We build up the practice slowly from the floor to gently awaken your embodied beast — bringing your instincts, paws, and jaws into the dance as we crawl and activate our voices. From there, you’ll learn concrete techniques for moving your hips sensually in soft, circular motions — both standing and on the floor — as well as how to isolate your hips sharply.
With sensual hand gestures, stomps, and claps, your whole body is invited to join the expression.
This class is for anyone curious about playfully moving their hips to connect with their beasty, animal selves, and for those who simply want to enjoy the body-positive pleasure of shaking the juicy fat on their ass.
At times, we may work in pairs, using touch and physical contact to help each other take up space, embody strength, and be fully met in our wildness. This will always be guided with full respect for your boundaries and needs.
Important: Please wear clothing that is loose around the butt (it’s impossible to really shake in tight yoga pants!)
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Amalie Marcuslund Overbye is a dancer, musician, and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. Growing up influenced by Brazilian, Cuban, Tanzanian, and Jamaican music and movement traditions, she learned to trust rhythm and embodied expression as essential pathways into the body. Combined with her nervous system practice, she loves creating cross-disciplinary playgrounds where safety lets vitality come alive. Whether in 1:1 therapy, sweaty dance classes, or on stage, Amalie invites us back to our raw, playful selves.
