something something trumpet is a collective dedicated to showcasing the trumpet as a solo and chamber instrument. Through their programming, the group aims to promote and develop contemporary repertoire while also presenting historical works in a way that contextualizes the instrument’s past and present. something something trumpet was formed in 2023 at the Chosen Vale International Trumpet Seminar in Enfield, NH by Dovas Lietuvninkas, Demian Spindler, and Bailey Paugh. The three trumpeters felt they should share all the cool, strange, wacky, and beautiful sounds the trumpet can make. Over the past year, the group has brought 20th- and 21st-Century trumpet music to curious, enthusiastic, and occasionally horrified audiences in New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
