Buffalo transplant/Native Texan Jen Mulhern is Jenuine Cello, a seasoned performer, looper, improviser and songwriter who has taken her traditional classical training in a new and exciting direction. Equipped with a cello and a voice, a Loopstation, a 6-string electric cello, an electric cajon, and a knack for glitchy beat-boxing, Jenuine dedicates her looped compositions to improvised form and content rather than rehearsed replication. Her live recordings and performances take listeners on a road trip free from genre, saturated with an array of influences. With undercurrents of Bach, Beatles, blues, reggae, EDM and everything in between, Jen's music combines classically infused inspiration with raw textures to create a unique sound of layered soulful puzzle pieces. While the audience 'eavesdrops' from the very first hints of sound, Jenuine Cello creates a symphony of spontaneous sound painting that tugs at the soul and awakens an ancient desire to howl at the moon...
