Fun, relaxed summer dance ~ try the Samba beginner-intermediate lesson at 5:30, followed by Ballroom & Latin & Swing social dance 6:00-8:00 pm ~ friendly, air-conditioned, beginners & all-levels welcome; singles & couples invited!
Beginner-Friendly & Ballroom-Review: On 1st & 3rd Sundays, we're available to teach & review basic steps of all the dances on the sideline throughout the dance
Music: Classic Ballroom playlist with Latin, Swing & Nightclub dances ~ fun songs with strong beat & classic sound
1st & 3rd Sundays ~ August Schedule:
• 5:30-6:00 Samba Lesson ~ beginner to intermediate social dance technique by Robert Cura
• 6:00-8:00 Ballroom Social Dance includes Latin, Swing & Nightclub dances
• Dance Mixer: Waltz-Foxtrot (2-each) ~ dance with everyone!
Admission: $8 non-members • $6 members • $5 students with current ID ~ Fundraiser for our young-adult dance program
No partner required. Come solo, bring a friend, or bring a group—just show up ready to dance!

About the Instructor: Robert Cura
Robert Cura is a championship-level dancer, who first discovered the joy of dance in 1975 and has taught Ballroom and Latin dance in Oregon and California since 2000. Robert volunteers his time teaching and supporting USA Dance Chapter 1010’s young-adult program, the 1010 Dance Team for social and competitive dancers.
Robert is the author of Master Ballroom Dance Technique, based on his years of deep study of ballroom dance movement. Among his many mentors, he counts Rhona Pick, Jenty Parkinson, Gene Jennings, Oleg Suvorov, Tatiana Pavlova, Wendi Davies, and world champion Glenn Weiss as having the most significant influences on his dancing.
Robert specializes in accelerated learning, troubleshooting persistent problems, teaching technique, foundations, syllabus, mastery and artistic expression—for dancers who want to improve the quality of their movement. He teaches both private and group lessons when schedule permits.
