Sundays at Four returns to its birthplace!
Internationally acclaimed soprano, Jane Thorngren, will join St. Thomas' Honorary Cantor, Raymond Hughes, and Dr. Karl Barton for an afternoon of song on January 26th at 4 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
New York-based Ms. Thorngren has appeared extensively in opera, concert, and recital in the US, Europe, and Asia, and was twice featured in "Live from Lincoln Center" national broadcasts. She and Raymond Hughes have frequently collaborated in New York and in Europe, and in Thomasville for the Lawson Neel Medbank Gala in the Thomasville Center for the Arts in 2006, as well as in a 2013 gala concert with orchestra benefitting St. Thomas' organ fund.
This concert will benefit the Balfour Music Fund at St. Thomas, established by the Balfour family in memory of Deborah McRae Balfour, one of Thomasville's eminent musicians of the 20th Century, who was St. Thomas' Music Director and Organist from 1912-1962; and the 'Sundays at Four' Concert Series established by the late Paul Liljestrand by 2004 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Thomasville.
