This month, in thinking about living in the present, we've been thinking a lot about gifts. Our very own gift, Gareth Dee @garethapdafydd, has been thinking especially hard, and will be talking about cultural customs around gift giving across the world.
As a little Sunday Assembly Brighton tradition for this time of year, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of donations raised at this month's assembly will go to local charity, Chestnut Tree House*, who provide hospice and community care for children and young adults.

In 1917, a pair of brothers ran out of tissue paper for wrapping presents, so they started selling ornate envelope paper, which people loved and became the ornate wrapping paper that we wrap our presents in today. Those were the Hall brothers, and their store was named... Hallmark(!)
