About this Event

SUNDANCE

Written by Alex MacDonald
Directed by Brita McVeigh

Two New Zealand filmmakers hole up in a cheap motel room outside Park City after closing night at the Sundance Film Festival.

She’s just won the Audience Award.

He says he’s happy for her.

But when her name was called, he didn’t clap.

Nat and Quinn have built a marriage, a family and a filmmaking life together, taking turns making work and waiting for the breakthrough that might change everything.

Now it’s here. And as her phone starts ringing and the opportunities get bigger, a tiny crack in their marriage splits wide open.

Sexy, funny and emotionally dangerous, SUNDANCE is a marital thriller about ambition, art, envy and parenthood - and what happens when two people share an impossible dream and only one of them gets it.

Make your Sundays playful

Hot off the photocopier, we're bringing you three brand-new Aotearoa stories for your ears only.

This year, Silo supported seven talented playwrights to develop new work.

Now is your chance to hear Silo actors perform three of these new scripts in a series of play readings throughout September.

Round up your crowd for one, two or three nights of creative and playful new scripts, brought to life by some of the very best local actors and directors.

Ticket proceeds go directly to paying writers and creatives.

Book through Eventbrite and pay what you wish.

See you there!
