What to Expect:
Sun Salutations are often practiced quickly and repeatedly... and classes may offer little to no instruction on the nuances in each position within the sequences. Understanding each posture gives an opportunity to build strength, awareness, and a deeper connection to your body and breath.
This workshop is designed for both curious practitioners and yoga teachers who want to slow down and refine their understanding of Surya Namaskar / Sun Salutation
Learn more about:
• Sun Salutation A, B, and C
• Sun Breath and accessible variations (including chair options)
• How to transition between postures with more integrity and awareness
• Slowing down the practice to support more intentional breathing
• Introduction to Ujjayi pranayama and how to integrate it into movement
Instead of rushing through each posture, we’ll take time to feel what’s actually happening and at the same time build more sustainable and supportive movement patterns for your body and your practice.
You’ll receive a handout with postures, sequencing, and at home practice tips so you can continue refining beyond the workshop.
This is a great opportunity to reconnect with the foundation of flow and bring more clarity, ease, and intention into your practice or teaching.
For yoga teachers that take this workshop, you can receive 2 credit hours , 1.5 hours of Techniques, Training and Practice and 0.5 hours of Anatomy & Physiology.
