""Notwist"" Drummer Andi Haberl aka SUN has released his first Solo Album ""I Can See Our House From Here"" via Alien Transistor in June 2024, which has been critically highly acclaimed so far.
“I really wanted to create moods that touch me – and ideally others, too,” says Andi. Tending towards acoustic instruments that open up space, and slowly falling in love with sampling over the last few years, the resulting soundscapes feel somewhat like “Gold Panda/Fourtet meets Steve Reich meets Krautrock meets film scores"".
Known as a long-time member of The Notwist and various other bands/projects (Alien Ensemble, AMEO, jersey, Ditty, Haberl // Zimmer etc.), Haberl has also worked with My Brightest Diamond, Till Brönner, Owen Pallet, and Kurt Rosenwinkel, to name a few. “I Can See Our House From Here” is his first solo offering under the SUN moniker.
Together with Isabelle Klemt, Markus Rom and Maria Schneider, SUN will perform the Album for the first time live. There will be energy!
Its the only show in Berlin this year. So don't miss it!
