Summer Watercolor Painting Workshop at Prismatic Pages

When: 23 August, 16.15-18.15
Where: Prismatic Pages, Rathkes gate 7b
Do you have a favorite book cover? Or want to use book covers as inspiration for your own artwork?
Let's combine our love of books with art where you can replicate (in your own style, of course!) a book cover of your choice, or you can choose elements from the cover design to compose your own small paintings and bookmarks. We will explore your creativity using watercolor as the first step, then layer your artwork with other supplies such as colored pencils, markers, glitter paint, and oil pastels. It will be fun to see how books can inspire you in different ways, and you get to take home your artworks and bookmarks, perhaps to give as heartfelt gifts! You can bring your own book or select books in the store.
This workshop is for everyone at every level of art experience. The aim is to have fun, enjoy choosing and discussing books, and get creative. Tickets cost 350 NOK which includes instruction and all supplies. Only 12 spots available!
This workshop will be led by Dee Harlow.
I discovered a passion for painting after a career in international development. As a self-taught artist, I enjoy connecting with everyone who wants to paint for fun. I love sharing my joy through easygoing, beginner-friendly workshops around Oslo.
