Bespoken Mandarin Course

In addition to our regular weekly courses, we offer tailored one-to-one Chinese language tuition at a rate of £45 per hour. This gives students the flexibility of learning and dedicated teaching.

This is a flexible 1-1 course in Chinese language (Mandarin) suitable for those with flexible learning needs and specialised teaching to suit your level.

Class times are decided between the student and the teacher and are flexible. However, all classes are expected to take place during term time.

No discounts are available for 1-1 Mandarin classes.

A minimum of 5 classes is required per student. Please purchase your classes at least 1 week in advance. If you cancel/cannot make it with less than 24 hours before your session, you will be still be charged for that session. Flexible 1-1 classes are available until the end of term and will restart at the beginning of the next term.

The date and time scheduled for all flexible 1-1 classes can only be changed twice in a booking period. Refunds will not be issued to those who have changed class times more than twice and are unable to attend the new scheduled date and time.

*Please note if you are booking less than one week before the start of a course you must contact us about securing a place. If you are not a continuing student you need to be assessed to confirm your level, contact the office via email at [email protected].

Please note, there will be no classes during reading weeks or on bank holidays unless specified by the teacher.

HSK Training

This is a 1-hour-each-week 10-week in-person or online offering bespoke HSK training for those who wish to get specialised learning and support to provide you with systematic preparation for the tests based upon the features and curriculum of HSK.This course offers specific targeted teaching of the language and skills tested in the HSK examinations.Our teacher will take you through the basics needed to sit the exams, tailored to your level and needs, which will build confidence and assistance for you to get the result. This course is ideal for those who would like to get some formal qualification of Chinese fluency and need extra preparation or teaching towards this.

Please note, before booking this class you should contact the Confucius Institute ([email protected]) to have your level assessed. Assessment is a free and informal session with one of our Mandarin teachers.
