Free Outdoor Violin Concert in Wilcox ParkWesterly, RI — June 7, 2026 — The community is warmly invited to Summer Strings, a featured violin orchestra performance presented by the Violin School under the direction of Ashley Jones. The concert will take place on Sunday, June 7 at 1:00 PM at the historic bandstand in Wilcox Park (44 Broad Street, Westerly, RI).
This free, family-friendly event will showcase a vibrant program of both classical and contemporary repertoire. Audiences can expect selections from renowned composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Antonio Vivaldi, alongside modern pieces, folk tunes, lively jigs, and a traditional Celtic air.
Summer Strings is an annual outdoor celebration of music and community, bringing together students and audiences of all ages in one of Westerly‘s most cherished public spaces. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy an afternoon of live music in the park.
