Summer Solstice - Sunset Rooftop Yoga & Sound Bath

Join us for a truly unique and magical evening of SELF-WORK + SELF-HEALING!

The Summer solstice represents the transition from action to nourishment, which is exactly what the Sun gives us during the long nights of summer, both to our actual crops but also to the continual journey we travel from darkness to light. Summer reminds us that there is hope in the world, that the light within can spread to the far reaches of the globe and inspire others. We can nurture others, just as the Sun nurtures us. Summer becomes a time to work on ourselves and our ability to be the light and find meaning in our journey, even when it seems uncertain. This is the rhythm of nature; new beginnings transition into a period of uncertainty. During this time, it is easy to fall pray to anxiety and worry. Big shifts also cause old energies to surface and darkness can easily take over our mind.

Learn to move with your body & breath. Embrace your inner spirit in this Sunset Rooftop 45 Minute Sound Bath by Christina Ifurung from Kapwa Sound Bath followed by a 45 minute all levels vinyasa style yoga class during sunset on the Rooftop of the Cat Bird Hotel in the lovely River North Arts District. Where you can still see the amazing Sunset over the Denver Skyline from your yoga mat.

6:30 - Class begins with working on our intentions for the Summer. Summer is the time to develop faith in our life, squash the darkness with light, and trust that just like the Sun, we will rise each day no matter what life brings us.

6:45 - Christina from Kapwa Sound Bath will take you on a blissful journey of surrender using the alchemy of crystal sound bowls, Koshi chimes, other healing instruments along with channeled light language language. Many of us carry dissonant energy within our bodies/cell. The crystal sound bowls emit resonant vibration so that when it collides with our bodies together they create constructive interference. Realigning you to harmony within and creating space and moments to surrender and receive. It's a gift of healing for conscious (and subconscious) elevation. If you feel called for a "slow down" this is your opportunity.

7:30 - Shannon from Denver Yoga Social will ease you into a gentle 45 Minute all levels vinyasa flow. To help ignite your passions & help you find a new perspective. We will focus on stress relief, breathwork and body release to create a sense of physical and mental spaciousness.

Stay after class, continue to enjoy Happy Hour and soak in the Denver skyline from the rooftop as well as the Rocky Mountains from the best rooftop in RINO.

At Denver Yoga Social, we want to encourage all to come to a class for a fun and supportive atmosphere while growing connections within our community. Denver Yoga Social works to partner with local venues, local yoga teachers, and donate a portion of proceeds from every event to non-profits.

What you need to Bring / Know :

• Yoga mat, pillow, and /or blanket. We will be getting comfortable for our soundbath.

• Water! Stay hydrated please.

• Dress with the option of layers incase it's cold in the Studio. We never quite know how our Studio will feel the day of an event. Please dress for a warm area, with the option of a blanket or sweater in case it's too chilly. (Our rooftop can be a little drafty)
• You may want to bring a journal and pen to document your experience, or to write down your intention for the Summer.
