Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year and the official start of summer 🌞🪻
We are celebrating the Summer Solstice at the Sandy Point Unit of Lucky Peak State Park on Sunday, June 21st. The festivities will begin at noon next to the Jr. Ranger Station (by the upper restroom facilities).
For only $20, you can weave your very own willow and fresh lavender wreath, we will supply the tools and decor, but feel free to bring your own! This activity is recommended for people 13 yrs or older.
There will be more fun activities for the rest of the family such as Jr. Ranger activities, “Sun Print Bookmarks”, and we are even going to break out our specialized solar scope to where you can view the surface of the Sun! 🔭

Location- Sandy Point Beach, Jr. Ranger Station (next to upper restroom facilities)
Price- All activities are free except the $20 wreath workshop. If you would like to participate in this workshop please bring cash or check!
The $7 motor vehicle entrance fee into the park still applies, this fee is waived if you have a valid Idaho Parks Passport displayed on your windshield.

*Respect all wildlife, natural resources, and other visitors.
* NO glass containers/bottles of any kind at Sandy Point.
* NO pets, not even in vehicles at Sandy Point.
