Summer Solstice--African-Caribbean Dance with Artie Thompson
Advertisement
Celebrate the summer solstice as we move to rhythms and dance like nobody’s watching.
Artie was born and raised in Minnesota and was a member of the Uchawi African Dancers and Musicians, a popular Afro-Caribbean dance troupe in the 70's & 80's, that performed in the five state area of the upper Midwest. She is a seasoned actress, choreographer and dance instructor who has worked with people of all ages. Her passion is sharing this expressive form of movement with everyone whenever and wherever possible.
Last year we had a fantastic time with Artie Thompson as we welcomed Spring with an African-Carribean Dance Party! Now, let's welcome Summer!
The event is free. Donations are welcome. If you can, bring a snack, dessert, or beverage to share. If you aren't able to, no worries, please come!
