Summer Sewing: Embroidery Camp (Ages 8-14)

Welcome to Summer Sewing!

Take on the world of sewing with instructor Amanda in our downtown Bakersfield studio.

In this 3 day camp we will be focusing on learning the art of embroider!

This is an ALL LEVELS camp. (All levels means this is a great class for students that are brand new to sewing as well as experienced sewist)

General details:

Projects: Embrodiery
1. Students will learn 3-4 embroidery stitches (backstitch, blanket stitch, couching stitch, and split stitch) to make multiple projects.
Project examples: Photo embellishment, adding stitches to personal clothing, and magnetic creature.
Dates: July 22nd-24th

1pm-4pm

Ages: 8-14

Pricing: $200 ($50 deposit is paid on Eventbrite and remaining balance is paid on first day of session. If you are interested in paying the deposit through Zelle, Apple Pay, cash, or check, please reach out separately)

Class size: 6-8

Camp includes:

Use of embridery, tools, thread and fabric

Water and snacks, though we encourage students to bring their own reusable water bottle

Take home multiple projects that are created in class

Other important information:

There are no refunds, but the class can be transferred to another student

In the event that a students gets sick:

They are to stay hone until they feel better

There are no make up dates for class. If a student does not finish their project, the option of booking a private lesson is allowed.

Looking for a full day of camp? Our studiomate Emily of The Playful Space is offering camp throughout the summer as well! Some of our dates line up for families to do a full day of camp with her camp in the AM and mine in the PM. If a family registers for both camps, we will offer a no cost lunch hour between the two camps. All that is required is that the family provides lunch.
