Dante’s Divine Comedy is for T.S. Eliot and Borges and countless other readers is the greatest poem ever written. Join us on Wednesday evenings (4-5:30 p.m.) in July and August as we journey with Dante and Virgil from hell to heaven.
Participants are strongly encouraged to use a verse translation (e.g., Longfellow, Mandelbaum, or Esolen). If you read a free online edition, please print the reading and bring a paper copy to class. All seminars will take place at the Fairhaven Program (1106 Harris Ave., Suite 307). The cost is ‘pay what you can’, and the seminar is open to the whole community. Teenagers who like to read are strongly encouraged to register.
You may attend as many or few seminars as you are able, but please complete all the reading up to the cantos being discussed. Questions? Email [email protected] or call/text ‪(360) 230-8012.
