He specialises in solo and chamber music, notably as half of the award-winning Scholfield-Clarke Duo, and his artistry is featured on recent albums "Building Castles" (Live Music Now Scotland / Delphian) and "Don't Add to Heartache” (Hidden Door Festival). Beyond performing, Richard is a skilled arranger, with a talent for re-interpreting historical pieces for the saxophone. A recipient of numerous accolades, including the Arosa Kultur Hans-Schaeuble Award and second prize in the Tunbridge Wells International Music Competition, he regularly performs with major UK orchestras and holds a Master of Arts from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Dean Walker Garrity is a Scottish saxophonist and recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he earned a First Class Bachelor's and Master's degree in performance. Notably, he won the 2021 RCS Concerto Competition and gave the Scottish premiere of John Adams’ Saxophone Concerto with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Dean has performed widely as a soloist, including at the Edinburgh International Festival, and was awarded the Governors' Recital Prize in 2022. A passionate advocate for contemporary music, he actively commissions new works and tours internationally with the band Ashenspire.

Andrew Somerville is a saxophonist and educator based in Edinburgh. His extensive performance experience includes solo and chamber engagements at Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, and the Southbank Centre, and orchestral work with the RSNO and BBC SSO. Andrew teaches saxophone at the RCS and St Mary's Music School, and for other national organisations, including the NYOS, NYWO (GB), and the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland. His studies in Glasgow, London, and Chicago culminated in an Artist Diploma and Doctoral degree. He also pursues additional interests/research in musicology and music education, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Jack Halforty is a Scottish saxophonist from Uddingston. He attended the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he attained both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in music performance. During his time at the RCS, Jack was highly commended in the prestigious Governor’s recital prize for woodwind on two separate occasions.
