Further your herbal skills by learning how to make a salve. In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to make an infused oil and turn it into a salve with beeswax. Salves are a topical preparation that may be used for soothing bug bites, sore muscles, chapped skin or lips, or as a moisturizer. The herbs we use will depend on what is available at the time of the class, and you will take home your own 1 oz tin of herbal-infused salve.
This program is for ages 9 and up. All registered children/youth between ages 9-17 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Child registration – 9-12 years old
Teen registration – 13-17 years old
Adult registration – 18 years and older
Price:
Adult/Teen/Child Member: $24
Adult/Teen/Child Non-member: $30
*Adult chaperone without materials: $5 (this option is for adults signing up with kids between the ages of 9-14, and does not wish to make their own salve, and will share materials with their kid)
Please Note: This program will take place indoors. We are no longer requiring masks for program participants, but you are welcome to wear one if you are more comfortable doing so.
