Get ready to dig into some great stories this summer! Anna Porter Public Library is excited to announce the launch of its 2026 Summer Reading Program — Unearth a Story — on Friday, May 29, 2026.
Roar into summer with a dino-mite kickoff celebration! Channel your inner paleontologist as the library comes alive with prehistoric fun and exciting activities. The community is invited to sign up for our summer reading program and participate in activities including:
• Dinosaur-Themed Fun — explore the prehistoric world through games, crafts, and surprises
• Face Painting — transform into your favorite dinosaur or storybook creature
• Cookie Decorating — decorate your own dino-inspired sweet treat
• Festive Activities — and more in store!
Best of all, attendees can sign up for the Summer Reading Program on the spot and start their reading adventure that same day. Whether you're a T-Rex fan or more of a Brachiosaurus bookworm, there's something for everyone! The Summer Reading Program is open to all ages and all ages can win prizes.
