Summer Reading 2026: Kickoff Party on the Lawn!

Join us for our Summer Reading kickoff party on the Olmsted Lawn for all age groups! In addition to getting materials for our summer reading challenges, we will have a wide range of activities. Enjoy live music with Matt Heaton 10 - 11 AM, and lawn games, glitter tattoos, and more from 10 AM - 12 PM.
The theme this year is Plant a Seed, Read, and kids will be able to sign up for our popular Read & Bead program, while adults will get to pick up a reading bingo sheet and enter our raffle for special summer reading-themed kick-off prizes!
Please note, you do not need to attend this event to sign up for summer reading, and you don't need to sign up for summer reading to attend this event. All ages are welcome!
