Join us for an evening of dancing in the Gateway Garden. Select the soundtrack for your evening by choosing between three different simultaneous DJ sets. Featured DJs include Super Will, Amateur Waifu, and Otherseas and BUBU from the Michigan Electronic Music Collective.Super Will
Super Will is a highly skilled producer and DJ hailing from the Midwest, he is equally comfortable spinning a packed downtown club or an underground rave. He began his career spinning college parties at his alma-mater, Western Michigan University, and his reputation for creating a unique dancefloor experience by blending genres spread quickly throughout the Midwest. Super Will was mentored by some of Detroit’s most talented club DJs, and truly began developing his personal style while playing some of the region’s hottest dance clubs and bars.
Amateur Waifu
Hitting the ground running in 2022, AmateurWaifu is a local Ypsilanti area DJ bringing an array of house and electronic music to the dancefloor! Having played at events, like Blissfest (Harbor Springs) Silent Disco and the Ann Arbor Summer Festival Silent Disco, AmateurWaifu brings high energy and passion to every set. Although making a “home” in the genre of house, AmateurWaifu keeps things exciting by performing not only digital DJ sets, but vinyl as well. Experimenting with electronica, downtempo, funk, hiphop and throwbacks – the sky is the limit. AmateurWaifu is a part of several collectives which focus on DJing, networking, and collaboration of creatives. Some of these collectives include the Wax Kings, The Fallout Shelter, the Ypsilanti DJ/VJ Collective, and Immaculate Conception Collective. Additionally, AmateurWaifu plays regularly at 734 Brewing Company (Ypsilanti), York Ann Arbor and Arbor Brewing Company (Ypsilanti)
MEMCO w/BUBU and otherseas
The Michigan Electronic Music Collective (MEMCO) is dedicated to promoting electronic music in Ann Arbor, Detroit, and beyond. For nearly 20 years, MEMCO has made it its mission to bring the sounds of Detroit to Ann Arbor, and has established itself at the forefront of Ann Arbor’s electronic music scene. Otherseas (Tom Maher) is a Ann Arbor-based musician and digital artist who creates glitch music. BUBU (Bianca Trihenea) is a Michigan DJ who has played in multiple clubs in both Ann Arbor and Detroit. She primarily plays industrial techno music
