Summer Pasta Making Workshop
About this Event
Program Overview
Participants will learn the fundamentals of making fresh cavatelli pasta by hand while exploring the relationship between seasonal eating, ingredient quality, and flavor. Through guided instruction, participants will prepare a complete meal inspired by the abundance of late summer, featuring handmade pasta with fresh tomato sauce, a seasonal farm salad, and artisan bread that will be enjoyed around a shared table.
Throughout the experience, participants will be encouraged to tune into their senses—learning to recognize the ripeness of late-summer produce, taste and adjust as they cook, and experience the simple luxury of pasta made by hand. Foundational food science and cooking techniques will be paired with sensory awareness and intuition, giving participants both the knowledge and confidence to adapt what they learn to their own kitchens.
Woven throughout the class will be conversations about sustainable agriculture, selecting and storing seasonal produce, ingredient pairing, and how a deeper understanding of where our food comes from can shape the way we shop, cook, and eat at home.
